Vahram standing left on ground line, wearing lotus crown with ribbons and surmounted by pomegranate, flames at shoulders, sacrificing at altar and holding trident; to left, trident standard above altar, middle prong surmounted by crescent; pellet to right of altar; between legs, pellet above swastika; triple pellets below arm; nandipada to right / Siva standing facing, holding diadem and trident; behind, the bull Nandi standing left. Cf. Cribb, Kidarites 1B; MK 750; ANS Kushan 2360; Donum Burns –; Zeno 263956 (same obv. die). Toned. EF. An exceptional example, well struck on both sides. |
