KUSHANO-SASANIANS. Vahrām (Bahram) I. Circa AD 330-365. AV Dinar (33mm, 8.03 g, 12h). Boxlo (Balkh) mint. Vahram standing left on ground line, wearing lotus crown with ribbons and surmounted by pomegranate, flames at shoulders, sacrificing at altar and holding trident; to left, trident standard above altar, middle prong surmounted by crescent; pellet to right of altar; between legs, pellet above swastika; triple pellets below arm; nandipada to right / Siva standing facing, holding diadem and trident; behind, the bull Nandi standing left. Cf. Cribb, Kidarites 1B; MK 750; ANS Kushan 2360; Donum Burns –; Zeno 263956 (same obv. die). Toned. EF. An exceptional example, well struck on both sides.
