THESSALY, Larissa. Circa 450-430 BC. AR Hemidrachm (15mm, 2.88 g, 8h). To–, magistrate. The hero Thessalos, with petasos and chlamys hanging around neck, restraining forepart of bull left by band held around its head / Forepart of horse prancing left; below, sandal of Jason left; all within incuse square. Lorber, Thessalian, Series 4, 21 (O10/R15); BCD Thessaly 178 (same obv. die); HGC 4, 459; Dow, ACTTB, p. 88 (this coin). Toned. Near VF.
