CERAMIC POTTERY. Trans-Caucasian. Peripheral tribes. 2,800 - 2,400 BCE. (5 cm tall x 5 cm long x 2.5 cm wide). A small bird whistle in the shape of a song bird. Simple details define the general shape and eye of the figure. There’s a small chip on the crest of the bird towards the back. Otherwise, details are soft and smoothed from time. Evidence of some painted black glaze. Intact.

Probably used with some water in the chamber, creating a warble like sound, similar to modern toys. This may have not been a toy, but instead a serious shamanic musical instrument
