ALEXA NDER, bust of Alexander the Great right, wearing lion’s skin; palm frond engraved before / View of the Circus Maximus; large S C crudely engraved in antiquity. Alföldi, Kontorniat 40 and pl. 14, 4-8 var. (no S C). Dark green-brown surfaces with some red, roughness, cleaning scratches. Good Fine. Rare.
