SICILY, Motya. Circa 410-405 BC. AR Didrachm (23.5mm, 7.33 g, 6h). Hound standing right / Head of nymph right, hair in band; four dolphins swimming around. Jenkins, Punic – (but R1 for rev.); Campana 9; Hurter, Didrachmenprägung, pl. 18, 11 = Ognina 161 (same dies); HGC 2, –; SNG München 1595 (same rev. die). Toned, granular surfaces. Near VF. Extremely rare, only two examples published, and this coin is the sole example in CoinArchives.
