Head of young Dionysos right, wearing ivy wreath / Herakles standing facing, head left, holding club in right hand, lion’s skin draped over left arm; M/M/M to inner left. Lukanc Ve groupe, 1271 (control, same obv. die); OTA Klasse III/A, 1-4 var. (control); Lanz 975-6 var. (same); KMW –; CCCBM I S233 var. (control, same obv. die). Minor marks and scratches, wavy flan. Near EF. Extremely rare control. Lukanc records similar controls: O/M/O (Lukanc 1299) and H/M (Lukanc 1312), both from the Ve group but from different obverse dies. The control on this coin appears to be unrecorded.
