Julia Domna. Augusta, AD 193-217. Æ Sestertius (28.5mm, 17.24 g, 1h). Rome mint. Struck under Septimius Severus, circa AD 193-196. Draped bust right / Venus Victrix, naked to hips, standing right, leaning on column to left, holding palm frond and apple. RIC IV 842 (Septimius); Banti 46. Dark gray-green patina, some brassy highlights, some scratches, marks, and smoothing. Near VF. The rarer variety with drapery hanging down the column.
