Draped bust right, wearing stephane / Jugate busts of Serapis, laureate and wearing ornate kalathos; and Isis, crowned with solar disk and horns, right; to right, palm frond; L I (date) to left. Köln 2520; Dattari (Savio) 4553; K&G 64.52; RPC VI Online 10495.5 (this coin); Emmett 3258.10 (R4). Dark brown patina, obverse gouge, scrapes, broken flan. VF. Very rare.

From the Dr. Thomas E. Beniak Collection. Ex Classical Numismatic Group XXIX (30 March 1994), lot 1036; Münz Zentrum XLVII (10 November 1982), lot 351.

This coin is extremely heavy, nearly 10 grams over the heaviest recorded at RPC, and with the metal loss, this coin would have been much heavier. One wonders how it made it past the quality control at the mint.

Closing Date and Time: 29 April 2026 at 13:53:00 ET.

All winning bids are subject to a 20% buyer’s fee.
