Bareheaded, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Serapis enthroned left, wearing kalathos, holding long scepter and resting hand on head of Cerberus seated at his feet to left; all within distyle temple, pediment decorated with solar disk; L B (date) in exergue. Köln –; Dattari (Savio) 3053; K&G –; RPC IV.4 100; Emmett 1668.2 (R3). Brown surfaces with green deposits, light porosity, edge split. Near VF. Very rare, four recorded in RPC. |
