Viewed as an outsider in Bohemia, Jan embarked on a voyage through Western Europe, siding with the Teutonic Knights in the Polish-Teutonic War from 1326-1332 and with the French in the Hundred Years’ War, ultimately dying at the Battle of Crécy.
