SCARABS. Egypt. New Kingdoms Period. 1,550 - 1,050 BCE. Steatite. (20 mm). A simple scarab with defined head/clypeus and wing cases. Bi-directional piercing for suspension. On face: 4 uraei surround a long central inscription. Some degradation on the scarab makes for an incomplete read, however the first 4 hieroglyphs suggest mn mn (Enduring, established). Some pitting and loss. Otherwise intact. |
