SCARABS. Egypt. New Kingdoms Period. 1,550 - 1,050 BCE. (20 mm). A simply defined scarab with indication of head and clypeus and notches for wing cases. The bi-direction piercing lengthwise is meant for suspension. On the face, a design in three rows reading htp nfr nb (May the beautiful Lord be pleased – in reference probably to the Pharoah). Light tan. Intact.
