CERAMIC POTTERY. Baluchistan. Peripheral tribes. 2,800 - 2,200 BCE. (13 cm tall x 22 cm long x 9 cm diameter - each bowl). A ritual vessel with two bowls, both large, round vessels with flatfeet and large trumpeted necks that flare over wide shoulders. A single handle spans between the two vessels, the handle in the form of a bull. A single elongated spout extends from the right side of the piece. White pottery with black staining from firing. An outstandingly large example of type. Gray earthen patina. One small chip one each lip, otherwise intact. |
