ATTICA, Athens. Circa 454-404 BC. AR Tetradrachm (23mm, 16.28 g, 8h). Contemporary imitation. Helmeted head of Athena right, with frontal eye / Owl standing right, head facing, closed tail feathers; olive sprig and crescent to left; all within incuse square; c/m: prow right within incuse circle. For prototype: cf. Kroll 8; cf. HGC 4, 1597. Flan crack, rough surfaces, scrape and small dig on obverse. Good Fine. |
