SCARABS. Egypt. New Kingdoms Period. 1,550 - 1,050 BCE. Steatite. (20 mm). A simple scarab with defined head, clypeus, notches for wing cases and indication of legs. Bi-directional piercing for suspension. On face: snw sa nb anX djd doubled. A read loosely suggests “Protection to the eternal Lord Pharoah of Pharaohs, eternal life and stability”. Very crisp engraving. Intact.
