ROMAN GLASS. Roman. 3rd - 4th centuries AD. (9 cm tall x 3 cm diameter). A molded flask with a tall, cylindrical body with a flat foot with rounded transitions. The shoulder is slightly tapered to follow into a squat neck that slightly trumpets open. The lip is crude, still showing evidence that it was cut while hot. The molded pattern is linear, outlining the form of the flask. In light bluish-green glass with slight patina. Beautiful. Intact. |
