Manuel I Comnenus. 1143-1180. AV Hyperpyron (28.5mm, 4.27 g, 6h). Constantinople mint. Struck 1143-circa 1152. Facing bust of Christ Pantokrator holding scroll; nimbus with five pellets in each double-lined arm / Crowned facing figure of Manuel, wearing jeweled chlamys, holding labarum-tipped scepter and patriarchal globus cruciger; manus Dei above; threee jewels on collar, six in chlamys end.
