Theodosius II. AD 402-450. AV Solidus (21mm, 4.38 g, 7h). Constantinople mint, 9th officina. Struck AD 420-422. Pearl-diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust facing slightly right, holding spear over shoulder and shield / Victory standing left, holding long jeweled cross and fold of drapery; Θ//CONOB. RIC X 219; Depeyrot 74/2; Dow, ACTTB, p. 289 (this coin). Toned, obverse die break, trace graffito. Good VF. Very rare from this officina.
