As noted by Konuk, in his article on the coinage of Hyssaldomos, the resolution of the Carian letter is uncertain. It is possible that the letter represents the initial letter of Hyssaldomos’s name in Carian, but it is also possible that it is the first letter of the name of his predecessor, who is otherwise unknown.
