STONE. Kushan/Bactria. c. 2400-2100 BCE. (7.0 cm) A bread stamp with a large, rounded handle with central piercing for suspension. On the stamp face, a bird with wings extended faces left with a quadruped on hind facing right, forehooves raised. Small geometric designs above as space fillers. Tag noting reference to BMAC 172. With small case with glass lid. A very attractive piece.
