Stone Seal. Sassanian Empire. 224 BC - 651 CE. Group lot of five stone seals as follows: (20 mm.) Hematite. An O type stamp seal with piercing in the center. There’s damage on the one side, a flaw of the stone. On the face, a gayomard figure standing, facing left, his arms outstretched. Gobl 2b. (30 mm.) Chalcedony. An O type stamp seal with central piercing for suspension. On the face, a gayomard figure standing, facing left, his arms outstretched. Gobl 2b. (24 mm.) Chalcedony. An O type stamp seal with central piercing for suspension. On the face, a flower. Very stylized. Gobl 95b. (30 mm.) Chalcedony. An O type stamp seal with a central piercing for suspension. On the face, a Gayomard faces forward, holding two staves. Loss on one side. Gobl 17a. (19 mm.). Chalcedony. An O type stamp seal with central hole for suspension. On the face, an altar. Gobl 98a. As shown . Mostly intact. A few with minor chips.
