Bronze Seal. Baktrian. 2400 - 2100 BC. Group lot of four seals as follows: (37 mm.) A round, openwork seal with heavy encrustation and loop on back for suspension. On the face, a circular pattern, divided in two, with mirrored sectional divides creating 8 sections. Sarianidi -. (35 mm.) A small, cross shaped seal with open center and loop for suspension on the back. On the face, a cross emanates from a central circle. Sarianidi 1580. (34 mm.) A round, close worked seal with loop on back for suspension. On the face, random ellipses, circles and dashes decorate the seal. Some damage to the one side. Sarianidi -. (38 mm.) A close worked seal with a loop on the back for suspension. On the face, the image of a snake curled, facing left. Sarianidi 1004.1 (var). Encrustations. Intact. |
