Ceramic - Pottery. Baluchistan. Peripheral tribes. 2,800 - 2,200 BCE. (15.0 cm tall x 25.0 cm long x 15.0 cm diameter). A large vessel with wide open top and tapered flat foot. The piece has a long, extended spout before and a small, single handle with a thumb notch. Very attractive and desirable example of early Iranian Plateau vessels. Heavy earthen patina with random blackening. Tiny chip at lip, otherwise intact and impressive. |
