Ceramic - Pottery. Trans-Caucasian. Peripheral tribes. 2,800 - 2,400 BCE. (13.0 cm tall x 9.0 cm diameter). A simple footed vessel in red clay with a vulture form in the front of the pot. The simple stylized head extends over a front indicating the breast of the bird, wings extending to either side. Unglazed with earthen patina. Intact. An attractive piece. |
