Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Elagabalus in sacerdotal dress, standing left, holding cypress branch and sacrificing out of patera over lighted and garlanded altar to left; small star in right field, recumbent bull to left, by altar. RIC IV 327; Banti 40 var. (horned); BMCRE 443. Green patina, smoothing, a couple of scratches and pit on reverse. Near VF. Rare with star in right field. |
