INDIA, Mauryan Empire. Late 4th century-circa 175 BC. AR Karshapana (16mm, 3.27 g). G&H Series VIIc. Struck circa 320s-175 BC. Circular flan with various punchmarks, including three men, peacock on hill, and steelyard with pan to left, each struck from individual punch / Punchmark: peacock on hill. G&H 591; ATEC –; cf. Zeno 29943 (example on polygonal flan). Toned, areas of weakness, a few light marks. Near VF. Rare in this format.
