THRACE, Byzantion. Circa 90-80 BC. AR Tetradrachm (36mm, 14.96 g, 12h). In the name and types of Lysimachos. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background; monogram to inner left, BY below throne, ornate trident in exergue. Callataÿ Group 3, p. 123–4, obv. die unlisted; Müller 208; CN Online Type –; HGC 3, 1406; Dow, ACTTB, p. 101 (this coin). Toned, some roughness. VF.
