HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P, laureate bust right, slight drapery / MARTI, Mars standing left, holding spear and shield set on ground to right. RIC II.3 1588 (R3); RSC 951b var. (bust type). Lightly toned, porosity, flan flaw on obverse, cleaning scratches. VF. Only one example was known when RIC II.3 was published, one in CoinArchives (incorrectly attributed). Extremely rare. |
