JUDAEA, Neapolis. Volusian. 251-253 CE. Æ (25mm, 9.52 g, 6h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from the front / Temple complex atop Mt. Gerizim, the whole supported on wings of eagle standing facing, head left; to right; Marsyas standing left, raising right hand, wineskin over shoulder. Harl 154 (A37/P148); RPC IX 2172.7 (this coin); Rosenberger 129; Sofaer –. Dark green patina with earthen highlights, reverse slightly off center. VF. Rare.
