MYSIA, Pergamon. Circa 166-67 BC. AR Tetradrachm (26.5mm, 12.50 g, 12h). Cistophoric standard. Me–, prytaneis. Struck circa 104-98 BC. Cista mystica, from which serpent emerges, within ivy wreath / Two serpents entwined around bow and bowcase; MH above, civic monogram to left, serpent-entwined thyrsos to right. Kleiner, Hoard 21; CN Online Type 11322. Deep iridescent tone, a few light scratches, struck with worn obverse die. VF.
