CILICIA, Tarsus. Caracalla. AD 198-217. Æ (34.5mm, 18.13 g, 6h). Bust left, wearing crown and garments of the demiourgos, seen from the front; below, [star] / Nude athlete standing facing, head left, holding long palm and crowning himself with agonistic prize crown. RPC V.3 Online 84693 (this coin cited); SNG BN –; SNG Levante 1064; Dow, ACTTB, p. 204 (this coin). Brown patina, scratches, smoothing. Near VF. Very rare, five recorded in RPC.
