CILICIA, Laertes. Marcus Aurelius. AD 161-180. Æ (34.5mm, 27.64 g, 1h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Zeus enthroned right, holding long scepter and thunderbolt; eagle perched on back of throne. RPC IV.3 8135 corr. (rev. description); SNG BN –; SNG Levante –. Green patina, minor marks and scratches, short flan crack. Near EF. Extremely rare, only two recorded in RPC. A very heavy specimen, almost double the weight of the two in RPC.
