Constans II. 641-668. AV Tremissis (17.5mm, 1.41 g, 7h). Constantinople mint. Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Cross potent; CONOB. DOC 45; MIB 51; SB 984. Lightly toned and lustrous, slightly wavy flan, light graffiti, hairlines, obverse rotated double struck, strong clashing on reverse from the original obverse strike. Near EF. See the note under SB 984 and 1162 regarding the attribution of these tremisses between Constans II and Constantine IV.

Ex Classical Numismatic Group Electronic Auction 397 (17 May 2017), lot 705 (there as Constantine IV).

This coin is quite interesting with the original obverse strike producing strong clashing on the reverse before being rotated double struck again on the obverse. This coin is not struck over a brockage as it could be mistaken for.
