Heraclius, with Heraclius Constantine. 610-641. AR Third Siliqua (14mm, 0.70 g, 12h). Carthage mint. Struck 613. Crowned facing busts of Heraclius and Heraclius Constantine, both wearing chlamys; cross above / AGV STI, cross potent set on three steps; [pellet below]. DOC (232); MIB 148; SB 870 (Half Siliqua). Attractive deep and iridescent toning, slightly irregular flan. EF. Very rare. A wonderful example of this difficult and rarely encountered type. Among the finest known.
