Theodosius I. AD 379-395. AR Light Miliarense (21.5mm, 4.29 g, 7h). Treveri (Trier) mint. Struck AD 379-392. Pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Theodosius, pearl-diademed and wearing military attire, standing facing, head left, holding labarum without spur and resting hand on shield set on ground to right; TRPS. RIC IX 53c and 93b; RSC 55†a. Toned with iridescence, compact flan, small scratch on reverse, light hairlines, a few light edge marks. Good VF. Rare. A full weight example with the thick but quite compact flan for the issue.
