Diocletian. AD 284-305. AR Argenteus (17mm, 3.80 g, 12h). Rome mint. Struck circa AD 294. Laureate head right / The tetrarchs sacrificing over tripod before city gate with six turrets. RIC 27a; Gautier, Argent 60 (same dies as 60b); RSC 516†e. Lightly toned, obverse die break, minor die wear. Good VF. Extremely rare variety in Gautier with only three examples cited with these wreath ties.
