CARIA, Knidos. Circa 500-490 BC. AR Drachm (16mm, 6.13 g, 6h). Head of lion roaring right / Head of Aphrodite right, wearing stephane and cap, within incuse square. Cahn Series II, 46.7 (V25/R37) = Pitchfork 19 (this coin); HN Online 300; SNG Copenhagen 209–10 (same dies); SNG Lockett 2882 = Pozzi 2575 (same dies). Iridescent tone, off center on obverse. VF.
