IONIA, Ephesos. Circa 420-405/4 BC. AR Didrachm (18.5mm, 7.51 g). Bee with curved wings and short ethnic / Quadripartite incuse square. Karwiese II, Series 8.1, Group A, 88 (V3/R11) = Pitchfork 4 (this coin, illustrated in both); McClean 8065 (same obv. die); Rosen 569 = Pozzi 2422 (same obv. die). Find patina, edge split, die break on obverse, light scuff at edge on reverse. VF. Rare.
