KINGS of PERGAMON. Eumenes I. 263-241 BC. AR Tetradrachm (28mm, 16.53 g, 1h). In the name of Philetairos. Pergamon mint. Struck circa 255/0-241 BC. Laureate head of Philetairos right / Athena enthroned left, holding shield, left elbow resting on sphinx seated right; spear diagonally in background, ivy leaf to inner left, bow to outer right, monogram on throne. Westermark Group III, dies V.XXVII/R.1 (this coin referenced); CN Online Type 8453; Westmoreland 41 = SNG von Post 175 (this coin). Toned, minor marks, light roughness and small chip at edge on reverse. Near VF.
