Maximianus. As Senior Augustus (1st reign), AD 305-307. Æ Follis (27mm, 8.60 g, 6h). Abdication issue. Serdica mint, 2nd officina. Struck AD 305-306. laureate and trabeate bust right, holding olive branch in right hand and mappa in left hand / Providentia, draped, extending right hand towards Quies, draped, who holds branch downwards in right hand and scepter in left hand, both standing facing one another; S|F/B//•SM•SD•. RIC VI 15b; S 13408 (this coin illustrated). Toned complete silvering with some verdigris deposits, minor reverse die wear. Superb EF.
