THESSALY, Larissa. Circa 420-400 BC. AR Drachm (18mm, 5.97 g, 8h). The hero Thessalos, with petasos and chlamys hanging around neck, wrestling down bull left by band held around its head / Horse leaping right within incuse square. Lorber, Thessalian 57 (same rev. die as illustration); BCD Thessaly II 371.2; HGC 4, 424. Areas of granularity, some die wear, light scratches. Good VF.
