Diva Faustina Senior. Died AD 140/1. AR Denarius (17mm, 2.88 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck under Antoninus Pius, AD 146-161. Draped bust right, wearing pearls bound on top of her head / AED DIV FAVSTINAE, hexastyle temple in which is a seated figure of Faustina Senior. RIC III 343 (Pius); RSC 1; cf. Elkins, Monuments Figure 130 (for rev. type). Lightly toned. Superb EF.
