LUCANIA, Velia. Circa 280 BC. AR Nomos (21.5mm, 7.26 g, 4h). Caduceus-Fulmen Group. Helmeted head of Athena left, helmet decorated with griffin; Φ on neck guard, monogram behind neck guard / Lion standing right; kerykeion with fillet above. Williams Period VIII, 535 (O269/R374); HN Italy 1316. Toned, with some iridescence, traces of find patina, minor flan flaw at edge on reverse. Good Fine.
