CALABRIA, Tarentum. Circa 272-240 BC. AR Nomos (19.5mm, 6.42 g, 12h). Nude youth crowning horse he rides left; ΣY to right, ΛYKI/NOΣ in two lines below / Phalanthos, preparing to throw trident left, astride dolphin left; to right, owl standing left, head facing. Vlasto 836–41; HN Italy 1025. Lightly toned, with some iridescence, a little off center on obverse. Good VF.
