EASTERN EUROPE, Imitations of Alexander III of Macedon. 3rd-2nd centuries BC. AR Tetrarachm (27mm, 16.38 g, 4h). In the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Imitating the Kolophon mint. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, horse standing left over A; below throne, monogram. For prototype; cf. Price 1855-60. Toned with light iridescence, slight die shift. Good VF. Fine style.
