Diademed head right, wearing kyrbasia / Fire temple of Ahura-Mazda; to left, Vādfradād standing right; standard to right; wtprdt in Aramaic up outer left, prtrk’ zy in Aramaic in exergue; ’lhy’ in Aramaic down outer right. van't Haaff, Persis, Type 533/535/538i corr. (bow before king; same dies); cf. K&M –, but cf. 2/17; cf. Alram 533; Sunrise –; Ponterio 148, lot 391 (same dies). Iridescent toning, deposits, struck with a worn reverse die. Good VF. Overstruck on an Ekbatana mint tetradrachm of Seleukos I (SC 204.4a). |
