Baal, wearing himation, standing half-left, holding eagle in extended right hand, lotus-tipped scepter in left; (blundered M)AP (sic) to left, TRYBZW (in Aramaic) to right / Head and torso of bearded male (Ahuramzda?) facing, head right, body terminating in solar disk with wings and tail feathers, holding up wreath and lotus blossom; c/m: man-headed bull standing right, head facing; uncertain symbol above (numeral 10 in Aramaic?); all in incuse square. Casabonne Series 1; Shannahan 20–4 var. (unlisted dies); otherwise, unpublished. Iridescent tone, traces of find patina, some pitting, light scratch on obverse, test cut on reverse. VF. |
