CARIA, Knidos. Circa 500 BC. AR Drachm(?) (16mm, 4.76 g, 6h). Uncertain standard. Forepart of lion right / Head of Aphrodite right, wearing close-fitting cap and linear necklace; floral ornament to upper right; all in dotted square within incuse square. Unpublished, but cf. Cahn Period I, 11–2 for similar reverse. Granular surfaces. Good VF. Well centered. Extremely rare.
