THRACE, Hadrianopolis. Septimius Severus. AD 193-211. Æ Tetrassarion (27mm, 11.22 g, 7h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from the front, breastplate decorated with gorgoneion / Decorated facade of the three-storied Nymphaeum of Hadrianopolis with statues in each alcove and a figure of a reclining river-god at fountain below; at either side in foreground, columned edifice surmounted by equine statue. Jurukova, Hadrianopolis 198 (V119/R198); Varbanov 3252. Red and green surfaces, light roughness. Near VF. Very rare, none in CoinArchives.
