Obverse field: citing al-Mu‘tadid in the fourth line, uncertain symbol below / Reverse field: citing al-Mu‘tadid and Harun b. Khumarawayh in the fourth and fifth lines. Good Fine, edge bend. Apparently unpublished.

This coin appears to be a mule, combining an obverse die of Wasit dated AH 279 with a later reverse die naming Harun b. Khumarawayh. There is no obvious historical reason why an Iraqi obverse die from Wasit should have been used to strike a dirham naming the Tulunid ruler of Egypt, hundreds of miles away.
